SanDisk 256MB MP3 Player

I got it from Circuit City for $50...

Strengths: MP3 player, voice recorder, and FM radio, all for ~50 bucks! Great sound quality, small and light weight. Cool LCD display and fast data transfer. Intuitive OS and many options. Comfortable armband.

Weakness: Could not hold external memory card. Battery cover difficult to open. USB port cover seems fragile. Plastic exterior and red color makes it appear weak and cheap. Poor user manual. Tiny joystick.

One will not be able to find anything at this price range even approaching the quality and features of this product: 256 MB built-in memory, backlit LCD Display, FM tuner, voice recorder, with carrying pouch and earbuds.

I have to say that this Sandisk model does look and function like the iRiver MP3 players (cost ~ $150 for 256 MB) in many aspects: appearance, design, plastic cover, armband, software, even volume control. However, the price tags for Sandisk models are a lot cheaper than the corresponding iRiver ones, and they are also smaller and lighter.

Great audio quality with both MP3 music and FM radio. Three buttons and one joystick on the MP3 player allow many function settings, and the “large” LCD screen displays plenty of information: track number, title, author, battery strength, peak level indicators, EQ, etc.

Besides being a great MP3 player, voice recorder, and FM radio, this product can also function as a handy USB mass storage. The data transfer rate is very fast and no installation software is needed. The only problem is that one needs to carry the USB cable, which makes it not that convenient after all.

This Sandisk MP3 Player is very affordable, yet with comparable features to any popular brand. It offers higher capacity at a much lower price—I guess that’s why cheap plastic materials were used for the body. Overall, I have no complain for this product except that it seems to be fragile. This product is the PERFECT portable digital music player for beginners.

Strengths: It records plenty of music easily and has great quality playback. It's perfect for my needs when working out.

Weakness: None I see at this time

This is the perfect item for those people that enjoy listening to music while exercising. It is small and compact and doesn't skip like personal CD players do. It's so lightweight you forget you're carrying anything with you. It holds enough music that you're not constantly listening to the same song unless you want to. I highly suggest buying this. It feels like it is cheaply made because of how small it is but it is very durable. I know this because i have dropped it multiple times. It is small, lightweight, has a FM radio that works great, voice recorder that also works great, large screen, great armband and clear case.

The ear buds are very comfortable to wear but the cord is not long enough. you can hardly feel the ear buds when they are in your ear and you can run with then not falling out of your ear.

The battery case is hard to open but the battery lasts a long time.

Transferring songs is pretty easy if you know what you are doing. The user manual is useless, (only one page long)

one more thing, it occasionally freezes up.

Strengths: Right size, built in FM tuner, good size memory for the the perfect work out.

Weakness: battery cover a little difficult.

Really good item. Not only use for the radio & mp3/wma player, but also holds data as well. This does use the USB 2.0 (unlike 1.0 like I have seen on quite a few models). Would get as gift.

Strengths: Size and Sound quality

Weakness: Battery cover is hard to open.

I bought this for my niece from one of the Pricegrabber vendors. I looked at several other products but thought this was the best value for the money. Other similar products are in the $100's.

I love it and I am seriously thinking about getting one for myself. The size and quality are awsome!
