Description
The SanDisk Ultra II SD PLUS, an innovative SD flash memory card with built-in USB connectivity. The new card, which works seamlessly in any SD card slot, also can be used as a high-speed USB 2.0 flash drive. The new dual-functionality device has been added to the SanDisk Ultra II product line, a family of high-performance flash memory cards with write speeds of 9 megabytes per second and read speeds of 10MB/sec. The new Ultra II SD PLUS, which can be used in a wide variety of SD-based products - including digital cameras, PDAs, camcorders and camera phones - means greater convenience and cost savings for consumers. Now, to transfer data, images, audio or video between computers, digital cameras and other electronic devices, you don't need a card reader, cables or card adapters. Just flip the card to engage the USB connector and simply plug the Ultra II SD PLUS into any USB port. And the card also features an LED that blinks when data transfer is taking place to indicate that the card is being used as a USB flash drive. The advanced mechanical design eliminates the need for a removable cap, which can be lost, and gives consumers a dual functionality card that is fully SD compliant. The Ultra II SD PLUS will be a much more popular product than any similar device on the market because it is an SD card and SD has become the dominant standard for flash memory cards.

Strengths: Fast, fast, fast! Built-in USB interface.
Weakness: None.
I recently purchased a Nikon D50 dSLR and needed some SD memory to go with it since the camera wasn't supplied with any. I wanted reasonably fast memory capable of taking advantage of the D50's quick internal memory bus and hi-speed external USB 2.0 interface. I also planned to buy a SD card reader so I wouldn't have to tether the camera to my PC while uploading the day's shooting. My other...
Strengths: Longer video filming time. More pictures taken. Built-in USB makes for hassle free transfer to computer.
Weakness: Not sure how long lasting having the usb is considering you need to bend it in half to use it. Quite unique though. Had a little trouble trying to bend it because I was too scared of breaking it.
Really like that it has the usb built-in and still works fine as a memory card in the digital camera. Originally quite skeptical about the functionality, but have used it back and forth as a memory card and then a usb. Only concern is how long does it last being bent in half after so many uses. Bought the Ultra because it was suppose to get rid of the delay in shutter speed we've been getting,...
Strengths: The USB feature makes downloading images from any camera a breaze. The speed is top, no problem recording videos on my camera.
Weakness: NONE, maybe price
As all Sandisk devices that I have used, the item has been flawless. The Ultra II line is truely a life-saver. You know you're getting a reliable product with having to pay the price of an actual proffesional grade card. The speed is great when recording movies and the new USB feature is great with cameras that require drivers for Windows. Overall I give it two thumbs up!!
Strengths: Built-in USB
This card is the same as the SanDisk 512MB Ultra II Secure Digital Card except it got the built-in USB. The built-in USB is handy for transferring picture from memory card to computer.
Strengths: high speed, usb feature
Weakness: usb feature
Good storage size to keep a lot of pictures, so you don't have to transfer them often to your computer. The speed is not disappointing either. One unique feature in this card is the built-in usb. You don't need card reader to transfer your data. However, I'm afraid that I might break it if I use it often.
Strengths: The speed is the best thig about thsi card. The usb feature is interesting, but see below.
Weakness: It seems abit flimsy and I worry I will break the card in my usb slot one day so I do not use it often.
Bought this card because it was the same price as the regular ultra on sale at staples, so I figured what the hay. It has worked wonderfully so far, but I worry about the longevity if I use the usb function too often.
Strengths: convenient, fast
Weakness: fragile
It is a very useful device: compact, fast, versatile (you don't need to think of a card-reader). The only concern so far - it looks very fragile, so one has to be very careful while using it.
Strengths: Ultra fast, USB feature is amazing and it's Sandisk!
Weakness: So far none. Just need to be very careful when folding it for the first time. Once you learn how to do it, it shouldn't be a problem, but the first time, I have to admit, I was scared to break it.
It's the best 512 MB SD card you can get. If a 512 MB card is not enough and you can afford buying 2 instead of a single 1 GB one, then you can't ask for more. They say 512s are faster than 1 GB.
Strengths: can be used directly on USB port - no SD card reader required; fast read/write (it is ultra II!)
Weakness: still feel it might be easy to break the thing
First thing: it is not designed as a usb drive - so be careful when handling it. I would recommend this provided the price is not too high comparing with a normal Ultra II. It is definately an add-on to have a USB connect on the SD card for easy data transfer. The keychain comes with the package seems useless for me since I mostly use it for digital camera and PDA. However, I still feel it is is...

512MB Ultra II Secure Digital Plus Card
Strengths: Tiny, Fast, does not require another external reader
Weakness: tiny, extra flap does not fold flat and might not fit into every USB port. Fits the standard ports on the back of the computer, but does not fit in the USB ports on the front of a Dell.
Fits the standard ports on the back of the computer, but does not fit in both of the USB ports on the front of a Dell. The one that it does fit in, it blocks the other USB port. The little flap just physically gets in the way of the computer housing. I would still buy another one the next time I need another SD card. If you only have USB ports on the front of the computer that don't come straight...
