Strengths: I have been using this for about 1 week and have had no problems. Easy to install in my Mac G5. Quiet and super quick to access. Very competitive pricing with good guarentee.

I would highly recommend this drive to anyone who is using a serial ATA system. Very good warrenty, good pricing as compared to other major brands. It is very quiet and super fast with both read and write.

Weakness: None that I can see so far.

I love this. Add a pci controller with more SATA and it rocks the house! :) WOO! I think this is amazing. I have a p4 2.4 GHz with 1GB of RAM and have 2 other 80 GB Western Digital hds and a 120GB Western Digital hd! :) It is amazing! :) I wouldn't use anything else! :) I have a good feeling about this drive, so I am not worried.

I Bought the second one a month ago from ZipZoomFly. My first one came with My Dell Dimension XP last October. My Dell have 4 drives The first two are Serial 250 GB, other two are EIDE 120 GB Hard Drive. They are all Western Digital products. They are all work great.

Weakness: The Software for Partitioning the Drive does not have good directions. Can cause many problems attempting to Partition for a WindowsXP install

Maybe it is just me not understanding how to partition a drive on a clean install of XP. I was able to create the 137 Gig partition but using the software CD WD provided was confusing. The option for the WD Overlay, I think they call it, confused the XP operating system and cause Boot Errors along with other errors. Strengths: Feels like SCSI DRive. Low noise.

Weakness: None so far.

This behemoth has storage capacity to spare, and access to it is extremely fast. The eight megabyte cache really helps and data access seems almost instantaneous. I can barely hear the drive spinning when data is being accessed. Overall great hard drive by Western Digital.

I have 2 250GB SATA hard drives, one of them works like charm, no problem at all, but the second one clicks all the time when I boot up the computer. Send it back to reseller, reseller replaced another brand new drive, but does the same thing. I sent it back to Western Digital, WD sent me a brand new one but it's not working either.
