Strengths: Compact size, light weight, long battery life, fast charge, clear sound on both ends, easy to connect.
Weakness: Doesn't fit too confortably. Pairing goes off.
I just recently got this toy. Very small and light weight. Sound is very clear on both ends. It took only 2.5 hours to charge even though Cardo recommends that you charge it for 5 hours the first time. Connection to my Motorola A630 was a breeze. I suggest that you have a shorcut key to your Bluetooth setting as it does disconnect from the phone for some reason and you have to reconnect. I can...
Strengths: Compact size, Great for indoor use, Extremely easy to link with mobile phone. Great battery life
Weakness: Volume Control
I bought Scala 500 after reading reviews online. I am happy with my purchase. I used it with my V505 ( AT&T Wireless, I think Cingular has replaced it with V551). I have had no problems with linking scala with my phone. It took me all of 10 seconds to link it with my phone. Once link is established, it's easy to answer calls, redial numbers. I have not yet used voice dial with Scala. However the...
Strengths: Small Size, Comfortable Fit, Good Battery Life
Weakness: Picks up background noise in car
I am using my Cardo Scala 500 headset with a Jabra A210 adapter, and a Treo 600 phone. (Since my Treo 600 doesn't have bluetooth support, I needed the A210 adapter.) The Jabra A210 adapter has different settings - 1, 2, 3 - and I found setting 2 works best. The other settings caused an echo to be heard in the Cardo Scala headset. Using the headset is simple, when a call comes in I press the...
Strengths: easy to use,light
Weakness: pairing goes off at times
i previously used a bluetrek bluetooth(older model)....that one was pretty heavy and uncomfortable to wear on your ears this one paired very easily...and started using it in couple of hours(after charging)...the manual says charging time is 4 hours but usually get charged in 2 hours. call quality is crisp clear if phone is within 5 feet...and reduces as distance increase..so recommended keep...
Strengths: Louder audio than Motorola HS810. Mute button on headset.
Weakness: none
I purchased the Cardo Scala 500 after using a Motorola HS810 for a while. I used to not be able to hear in very noisy environments with the Motorola, but now I can. I don't think the audio for the person on the other end is much better, but at least I can hear and talk until I find a more quiet area to talk. I am not sure how well the wind blocker technology works, but I am sure that it is better...
Strengths: compact design, easy connection, great features
Weakness: sound quality is not so good according to whom I talk to by this headset
This headset gets very high user reviews all over and that's why I decided to get it. It is small, easy to setup, easy to wear, and very light. I even use it as a headset of my PC with bluetooth adapter when I talk to my friends using SKYPE or MSN messenger audio conversation so that I can work around in the house and do whatever I like when talking over internet. The only weak point is that the...
Strengths: good price. lightweight, compact. versatile design (can clip onto glasses, hang from ear or on a necklace.)
Weakness: holds continous bluetooth connection with phone. crappy power adapter. feels loose on the ear.
I got this headset due to its price and solid review ratings, after i lost my old jabra BT200 headset. The sound quality is decent and its a pretty small size so it fits well in my pocket. My main problem with this headset is that it links and holds a bluetooth connection with my phones. (Sony Ericsson T610 and S710a) My old jabra headset linked as needed. This is problematic if you want to use...
Strengths: Sound quality (less static), 120-240 V Charger, Belt clip and neck band, big answer button.
Weakness: Still not as good as using the handset.
Better sound quality (less static) than a more expensive unit I purchased and returned. 120-240 V Charger can be used worldwide. The big button in the center is convenient for answering. Both a belt clip and a neck band are provided to carry the device around. Occasionally I have to switch to the handset for the other party to hear me well (especially in noisy surroundings). Yet to try the voice...
Strengths: Lightweight, long battery life.
Weakness: unable to mute via headset
Setup was very easy on my Palmone Treo 650. This headset has good volume. The call waiting function does not work as per the manual by the big circle button. Instead on my Treo 650, i have to hit the volume button to "click over" to second call. To mute a call, i have to mute it on my phone. Also, the redial function does not send the audio to the headset. Other than that it works great. This is...

Scala 500 Bluetooth Headset with a Treo 650
Strengths: Compact design, comfortable fit, clear reception, low price
Weakness: None
I've been using the Scala 500 with my Treo 650 for about 2 months and I'm very pleased with how well it works. It was easy to pair with my Treo. Even after turning the headset or the Treo off, they paired together once they were on again. I like the indicator beep that lets you know that the headset has connected with the phone and is ready to make calls. I replaced a Treo headset with the Scala...
