iTrip, where have you been all my life?
Strengths: good quality sound, easy setup, compact, nice design that looks like an extension of the mini instead of an awkward add-on, compatible with home and car stereo systems/radios
Weakness: sometimes the signal is distorted when driving near power lines, may drain battery more than you would like--but just get a cheap car charger and you will be good to go
This is a great product and I have been very happy with this purchase. I am still in awe of the fact that I can actually play my ipod on my car stereo. It has always worked great in my car (2006 Civic), but it does not work in my boyfriend's older car. However, his radio is staticky anyway, so maybe it is his antenna. If your radio has static when tuned to regular stations, then this product...

buy it. its worth the money :D ....
Strengths: Songs can be heard clearly :D . i'm happy with the purchase
Weakness: can't find one at my place. probably some ppl have problems with it where there are a lot of radio stations... i wouldnt know.
buy it. its worth the money :D . the itrip will deliver an average quality of sound to your radio/receiver. i don't see why other people have problems with it... it works great for me... in the car or even in my room it works just fine.

This thing works like a champ....
Strengths: Transmission strength, looks, lack of battery, ease of use
Weakness: Price, won't work with anything but iPod mini.
This thing works like a champ. I've owned an RCA FM modulator that was static on every channel. The iTrip works great - no static most of the time. I'd recommend this to other iPod mini owners as their 1st accessory purchase.

Operation of this device is very...
Strengths: small, attractive design
Weakness: Weak signal. I have tried several radio frequencies and have yet to achieve sustained clarity. Awkward to adjust frequency.
Operation of this device is very finicky. You can't just "set it and forget it." You have to constantly tinker with it to achieve acceptible quality. The concept is great and it looks cool, but this product just doesn't deliver ease-of-use and high quality that the iPod itself delivers. Maybe my standards are too high, but I feel like this product is still in "beta."

One of my friends bought an iTrip...
Strengths: No wires! Easy to install on the computer and on the iPod Mini.
Weakness: Took a while to find a station that was not static-filled. Not compatible with iSkin.
One of my friends bought an iTrip 3 weeks ago and I fell in love with it and had to have my own. I was excited to find such a great price and am now learning how to use it with my own car stereo. It's so amazing to listen to any song in my collection without having to worry about adapters or wires. A little tricky to figure out the station selecetion the first time, but ultimately sounded great....
