Quick Glance
Device Type: Portable Gaming Console
Strengths: Dual Screens, Touch Panel, Microphone, Built in Pictochat, Wireless Multiplayer, AC Adapter, Games, Configurations, Speakers
Weakness: NONE
Boy is this baby sweet! Man it's just like a palm pilot. First about the Dual Screens. Usuall there is a map on the bottom and the actually playing part on the top. The bottom has a touch screen. So like in the menus you just touch the thing you want, when you buy the DS it comes with 2 styli, there is even a holder on the DS. The speakers are great, you have surround sound on them, you can even...
Strengths: Touch Screen gameplay adds a whole new dimension of possibilities and having dual screens aint too bad either. Stereo Speakers Finally, Relatively decent graphics but not as good as the PSP, no-reigon
Weakness: No real appealing games yet at this moment, skeptical about touchscreen life with the way the system uses it, pictochat is a bit dissapointing, No multiplayer GBA or Single or multi GB support.
The first I heard about the DS was when I went to E3 2004 where I got to check out the DS then the SP. I hadn't heard anything about the DS previous to entering the presentation so I had no expectations and I was perhaps even skeptical because to me it seems Nintendo is quite notorious for milking it's handheld customers by leaving out certain features for a certain releases (which they have done...
Strengths: its amazing its so powerful
Weakness: heavier and bigger than a DS Lite
The DS is so great. It has so many great games. It is handheld. It has many of the games from the game cube so you can play them on the go. So many of the games are in three-D which is great.
Strengths: Touch screen, rechargeable battery pack, dual screens, compatible with Gameboy Advance Games, price
Weakness: Not enough quality DS software
Nintendo has created an innovative handheld product that improves on the Gameboy Advance SP technology by adding dual screens, one of which is a touch screen. The unit also includes a rechargeable battery pack and is dual compatible with Nintendo DS games as well as Gameboy Advance games. Capable of displaying graphics on par with the Nintendo 64, the system is fairly powerful as a handheld. The...
Strengths: Very cool, good graphics, offers many new features such as pictochat, touch screen, voice activation and wireless connection.
Weakness: not many games released so far.
Amazing! 10/10. DS is the best! It has good graphics and awesome features like picto chat and touch screen. i first heard about ds in "tips and tricks" magazine and immidiatly i knew i wanted it. it looks really cool too.its really sleek and the fold open thing makes it really compact so you can carry it anywhere. the only downside is that there are not many games yet but all things considered...
Strengths: Fun, different, innovative
Weakness: Yet another platform to sort out
Lots of fun, a little bit different from earlier models, but not so radically different that it will baffle novice users. Not a whole lot of games available yet, but the ones that are out look good, and quite a few more are supposed to be on the way.
Strengths: It has a touch screen and built in micro phone and it has alot of cool games you can play on it and it has a nice big screen and has a long battery life!it also can play any other gameboy game
Weakness: the only weakness is it gets a little heavy when you hold it but if your really into the game that doesnt matter to you
I love this game system it has games for boys a dn girls unlike some other systems and i think its the best system that nitendo has came out with! and if you wanted to watch the videos made for the gameboy advance you have a much bigger and clearer screen to watch it from.
Strengths: Great Graphics, recharageable battery, plays Gameboy Advance games
Weakness: Sound volume does not go too high.
This is the best handheld gaming system I have ever owned. The graphic on the dual screens are awesome. The DS features a clock and alarm as well as wireless capabilities. There is not a whole lot of games available yet but some promising titles are scheduled. The only minor downside is that it may be a little difficult for younger players to play on the gamepad and use the stylus simultaneously....
Strengths: Compact style, long battery life, dual screen, touch screen
Weakness: not enough games out yet
This is the best hand held game system yet. Easy to figure out, games that are out are very good. Great graphics. Dual screen and touch screen features make it easy to use ana navigate.

When Nintendo outlined its next-generation portable platform, the DS (or Dual-Screen), the initial reaction was somewhat mixed...

The Nintendo DS, when first announced, was big news. It smacked of innovation, being the first dedicated handheld gaming device to feature two displays with one being a touch screen. Very cool-- but there's more: the DS has integrated WiFi wireless communications and a microphone that can be used in game play. It can play new DS games as well as Game Boy Advance games, but not the older Game Boy...

As Nintendo DS owners already know, the first several months since the handheld's launch in November have produced an unsatisfying library of titles. The majority of the releases have been either quick conversions of Game Boy Advance and Nintendo 64 titles, or games with short and simple concepts that are initially engaging, but lose their charm over time. Players have also had to endure long...

DS Game System
Strengths: Duel Screens, touch sensative bottom screen, voice recognition, great graphics, stereo speakers, clamshell design, comfortable to hold, cool looking, good battery life.
Weakness: Probably not quite as good graphically speaking as the PSP
Have you ever heard "don't judge a book by it's cover"? Well this has never been truer than with the Nintendo DS. You don't know this system until you try it. I was a big fan of the Sony PSP and was just sure I was going to get that over the DS, but then one day I saw one at a Wal-Mart and tried it. Let's just say it consumed me. It is so incredible the fealing that you get from playing the...
