ATI RADEON 9800 XT Graphics Card

Strengths: Very powerful, the speed is unreal. It only takes up one slot in your pc. Comes with a coupon for Half Life 2...and, I cant help but mention it has 256MB!!!!

Weakness: Slightly pricey..

This card blew me away.. I've had many video cards in my 20 years of messing with computer... This one by far is the best yet. It runs fast but, also runs pretty cool.. Internal pc case temperature hasn't changed. Yes, there are other video cards out there but, this one will not disappoint you..

ATI RADEON 9800 XT Graphics Card

Strengths: Speed is unbelievable. Coupon for Half Life 2...!!! Fastest card on the market. Only takes one port in comp, unlike Geforce FX 5900. High quality graphics, without sacrificing framrate, ever.

Weakness: The price is a bit much. Had to shop around for a week to find one for 350. (ebay) Noise, makes a fair amount of it. Can increase case temperture quickly without enough fans. Can't buy Half Life 2

Possibly the greatest achievement in video card technology man has ever attained. I would easily recomend this to anyone. What ever card you currently have, burn it, have a little dance around it, then buy this.

ATI Radeon 9800XT

Strengths: Copper heatsink & 256 bit memory interface

Weakness: HOT!!!

UPDATE: 9Micro1 replaced the first card. New replacment is fantastic. Added Vcool & copper ramsinks on the 2nd one. Would buy another one if I could find it. Excellent Card. PREVIOUS: Got this card from 9micro1 & it runs HOT! ATI Control Panel showed this card running at 73C. That is very high. After only a week or so of use, it has started showing severe artifacts. At first it was only in 3D...

ATI RADEON 9800 XT Graphics Card

Strengths: Fast, gorgeous,256 MB,1 slot, directly connected to powersource, easy installation.

Weakness: The price. The DVI port does not work well with some Flat screens. My monitor kept locking up and freezing the computer while I used the DVI port. Switched over to the standard port and NO PROBLEMS!

Swapped out my Geforce4MX 440. I wanted to get a card I wouldn't have to replace for at least the next three years. I'm not one to swap out my card every 6 months. So I studied the industry for two years waiting for the right card. Looked at all the stats on all the cards and then ponied up the dough and bought this badboy. I WILL ALWAYS BE GALD I WAITED FOR THIS MONSTER TO COME OUT. You can not...

ATI RADEON 9800 XT Graphics Card

Strengths: -256 MB of Ram -DX9 Hardware Compatible -Low heat production, good cooling system -AGP 8x -Free copy of Half-Life 2.

Weakness: -Expensive -Is weaker with OpenGL games (Serious Sam) than a GeforceFX 5950, however, not noticeably.

I was the previous owner of a Radeon 9600 Pro, Ati's old powerhouse. I had been contemplating upgrading graphics cards when I discovered that the 9800 XT had been released. This card is the best card on the market and is a major powerhouse. I was not disappointed. Halo PC, probably the most graphically demanding game currently on the market, ran at 800x600 with everything turned all the way up...

ATI RADEON 9800 XT Graphics Card

Strengths: Amazing DirectX9 rendering techniques, excels in all the Futuremark 3DMark03 tests, and surpasses the GeForce FX 5950 in almost every test. Also comes with a FREE Half-Life 2 redeem coupon.

Weakness: Highly priced, Requires decent cooling system.

If you are looking for a top-notch Video Card, the Radeon 9800 XT is definately the way to go. The Radeon 9800 XT dominates the Nvidia GeForce FX 5950 in terms of DirectX 9 rendering (which I may add GeForce's render DirectX 9 like crap). It only takes up AGP slot, from the pesky AGP + PCI slot that the GeForce FX does. It has it's own cooling fan, and special copper on the top of the board,...

ATI RADEON 9800 XT Graphics Card

Strengths: Beyond description, I quess if your moving up from a newer card the change is not so noticable.

Weakness: None, everything went like clock work.

Let's face it, I bought this card for HL-2 and many of the games coming out built on DX-9 and 10 technology. I've been looking to replace my Voodoo 5-5500 which has faithfully followed me from mobo to mobo, and I just kept waiting for the "right" card to come out. Everytime I'd get ready to buy one, well, you know the deal. Some one else was ready to release one just a little faster. I realize...

ATI RADEON 9800 XT Graphics Card

Strengths: Speed & Price ($359)

Weakness: Installation

This is my first Rage card in a number of years. I've had quite a number of Nvidia cards and had very good luck with them, but after reading all the reviews about this card, I decided to give it a try. First thing that struck me is the drivers that came with the CD were five months old and would not install correctly. After a while of that,I went to the ARI site and downloaded software that was...

ATI RADEON 9800 XT Graphics Card

Strengths: The fastest video card currently on the market. I have just upgraded my computer and had to buy the best. It only takes up one PCI slot (nice), and you get Half-Life 2 free!

Weakness: At their current level of speed, Half Life 2 may be out in the year 2010... ;)

Actually, you really do get what you pay for in this video card. It renders games at an incredible speed, and works extremely well. I have really been pleased with the purchase of Radeon's version of ATI's card. At least they give you a fair amount of extra software and games (which vary from what I understand). Anyway, I do recommend you get this card if you are looking to upgrade.
