Creative Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro Sound Board

Strengths: Very low noise levels, even with mic preamp up high. Nice to have the firewire ports as well. 24bit/192khz rocks, though the file sizes so big that I'm getting additional hd (100gb+)

Weakness: included software is more promotional than functional, but I didn't expect much.

Best computer component purchase I've made yet. I'll definately keep this component to use in future platforms. The quality of the instrument recordings I've made with a 30$ condensor mic and the built-in preamp is astonishing. Increased connectivity of the platnium pro makes it worth the additional cost vs ZS and ZS platium models. Highly recommended. I'm using a wave sequencer for editing and...

Creative Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro Sound Board

Strengths: Great Product, terrific sound, external controla a real plus!

Weakness: None so far, except that the price is a bit high.

The Audigy 2 Platinum Pro ZS is a very nice improvement over the past model. External controls with the ability to have up to 3 line inputs is very helpful to me as I have an ATI All-in-Wonder card and XM Radio for my PC. THX-certified, and other new features are excellent.

Creative Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro Sound Board

Strengths: absolutely excellent sound quality, very low background noise, breakout box is very useful

Weakness: Creative Mediasource application and remote control can be more user friendly. This app takes a stab at the type of interface in a Win XP Media Center PC, but falls short.

Creative has done an excellent job with this new version of the Audigy 2 series. They've also managed to clean up the messy and overly complicated drivers and applications included with previous Audigy 1/2 cards. They are definitely headed in the right direction. Now I hope Creative provides regular updates to their new applications to help smooth out some of the rough operation. The good news is...

Creative Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro Sound Board

Strengths: The BEST from the best. Did you expect any less!

Weakness: NONE

This hardware is simply awesome! I installed the card and firewire closed the box fired it up. I then installed the enclosed software. Now the fun part was going into settings and configuring the sound experience to my personal settings made by going through various sound waves and midi sounds to gain the proper balance of sound through speaker ratio. This makes anything "multimedia" wise to work...

Creative Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro Sound Board

Strengths: Outstanding unmatched sound quality, It has inputs and outputs for EVERYTHING, No hiss or noise at all; nothing can touch the performance of this system!

Weakness: Expensive, but definitely worth it!

I have had many previous versions of the higher-end SoundBlaster cards, including most recently the Audigy 2 card. The sound quality has improved significantly over past versions, including the Audigy 2. It is expensive, but the increased connectivity of the platnium pro makes it worth the additional cost vs ZS and ZS platium models. Overall, I highly recommend this for high level use.

Creative Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro Sound Board

Strengths: Inputs and Outputs for everything. Primo sound.

Weakness: Documentation

Love my card! Researched extensively before I bought. I do not need all the connections now but this will be a card to grow with. There is so much to learn about this card its overwhelming - not a simple card. I, though do not how the only in for your regular PC microphone is on the front of the external box - a little unsightly. Also docs are a little weak. Google for answers. The Platinum ZS ,...

A Legend

Strengths: Incredible sound quality no matter what speakers you have, recording features, remote control, 108 dB SNR. Will upmix 2 channel sound into 5,6,7 channels

Weakness: No games included in my revision, floppy power connector for the internal card is a bit tight

The setup isn't very hard, and surprisingly simple actually. You do however want to use the newer drivers and those are harder to install because there are so many. The best part about the Platinum Pro is the diverse range of uses you can do with it. I use my card for listening to my diverse music library, playing games, recording songs, and composing music; this has been the perfect solution....

Creative Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro Sound Board

Strengths: - Heaps of features - Connectivity - Quality Performance - High fidelity playback and recording

Delivers built in DTS-ES and Dolby Digital EX decoding for an audio playback in 5.1, 6.1 or 7.1 surround with DVD movies. Creative Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro Sound Board

Strengths: Clarity, ease of installation, options, effects.

Weakness: None I can find

I have seen that other people who have purchased this item had trouble installing it & configuring it, but I didn't have one single problem. I'm running Win 2000 service pack 4 on a 3.0 and it has worked flawlessly. This card rocks! Sometimes while playing a game I actually turn around because the sound is so captivating. Creative has out done themselves with this one.

Creative Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro Sound Board

Strengths: EASE OF USE... AWESOME SOUND EVEN WITH INEXPENSIVE SPEAKERS!!!

Weakness: INSTALL A LITTLE DIFFICULT... TAKES ABOUT AN 40 MINUTES.

This unit works and sounds terrific. I would recommend it. I had the audigy soundblaster platinum ex before and this is even easier to use.
